Hospice charity issues plea to public over shop donations

Ahospicecharityhasissuedapleatothepublictoonlydonateitemsthatcanberesold. ThamesHospicehasaskedpeopletoconsideriftheywouldbuyanitemthemselvesbeforedonatingittooneoftheirshops. Thecharityhasrevealedthatlastyearmorethan£100,000wasspentondisposingofitemsthatcouldnotbesold,meaningfewerfundswereavailableforfrontlinecare.
