FortheLoveofCatshostedacommunitycatfooddistributioneventonApril5,benefittingthecommunitycatpopulationofCollierCountyaswellasandtheircaregivers.
Accordingtothenon-profit,6,100lbs.ofdryfoodandover3,000lbs.ofcannedfoodwerecollected,benefitingatleast800communitycats.
Itisestimatedthat50,000communityandferalcatsroamthroughoutCollierCounty.Manydependon“communitycaregivers”andrescueorganizationvolunteersforfoodandcare.
“Wereceivedarecord-breakingamountofcatfooddonationsfromourwonderfulsupporters,”saidJanRich,founderofFortheLoveofCats.“AlldonatedcatfoodwillbenefitthemanycommunitycatsinCollierCountyandtheircaregiverswhotakesuchgoodcareofthem.WeareverygratefultothecountyandFreedomParkforallowingustoship,store,anddistributethecatfoodfromoneoftheirbuildingsatthepark.WearealsothankfultoHarborsideAnimalClinicandCelebrat
