Cardiff charity Oasis ‘hopeful’ that stolen food trailer will be returned

AfoodtrailerbelongingtoaCardiff-basedcharity,hasbeenstolenfromitsheadquarters,leavingstaffandsupportersdevastated.TheOasisfoodtrailer,whichhasplayedacrucialroleinsupportingasylumseekersandrefugees,wastakenintheearlyhoursofSaturday,April5.Nowthecharityhavelaunchedanurgentappealinthehopeoflocatingtheirbrightbluetrailer.
ThefoodtrailerhasbecomeastapleofOasis,anon-profitcharity,whichrecentlycelebrated16yearsofhelpingpeopleseekingsanctuary.ThroughthesaleofMiddleEasternandLatinAmericancuisine,thefoodtrailerhasraisedfundsforvitalservicesandhasbeenafixtureatfestivalsandeventsacrosstheUK;includingthefamousGreenManFestival.
In2022,thetrailerfoundapermanenthomeattheOasissiteinSplottCardiff,becomingalunchtimefavouriteamonglocals.Knownforitsdeliciousfalafel,thefoodtraileralsoprovidedvaluableworkexperienceforrefugeesandasylumseekers,helpingthembuildskillsandgainemploymentopportunities.
