Craven wildlife charity prepares for future with new trustees

ACRAVENcharitythathasrescuedmorethan1,000wildanimalssinceitstartedhasappointedthreenewtrusteesasitpreparesforfuturegrowthandcontinuestosearchfornewpremises.
CravenWildlifeRescueco-founder,PennyHunt,comes fromtheartsandeducationsectors;PatPorterfromthecharityandmentalhealthsectors;andJillFranklinfrombroadcastingandPR.
JaneCarpenter,co-founderofthecharity,currentlybasedinHorton-in-Ribblesdale,said:“Sincetherescuewassetupin2019,wehavebecomethefirstportofcallforanyonefindinganinjuredorsickanimalinCraven.Wehavereceivedover1,000animalssincewebegan–includinghedgehogs,owlsandbirdsofprey,swans,herons,ottersandmanyothermammalsandbirds.Mostoftheanimalswerescueareredandamberlisted.Theyneedhelpbecause,typically,theyhavebeeninjured-manyhitbycars– diseased,poisoned,orarebadlyaffectedbyclimatechange.
