A locally founded charity continues work in an impoverished Haiti

A charity founded by a Branson area community member continues to work in the poorest parts of Haiti, to provide essential needs for its residents.
Hope for a Village, an organization headed up by Founder and President Mystraine (Missy) Onoh, is working to provide necessities to those living in the remote community of Cotes-de-Fer, Haiti. Onoh, originally from Haiti, now calls the Ozarks home, but says Cotes-de-Fer holds a special place in her heart.
“The need is so much, and I’ve been working extra hours to help those essential needs,” Onoh said. “Our Christ-led mission focuses on improving health, education and economic opportunities to the most vulnerable: children, women, the elderly, and the physically handicapped.”
