Boss steps down at North Yorkshire mental health charity

EmilyFullarton,executivedirectorofHarrogatebasedWellspringTherapyandTraining,tookoverfromElaineWainaina,Wellspring’sfounder,in2015andhasoverseenthegrowthofWellspringintooneofthemostadmiredandsuccessfulmentalhealthcharitiesinYorkshire.
Emilysaid:“Ithasbeenaprivilege toleadtheorganisationthroughgrowth andchangeoverthepastdecade.Inthistime,IhavebeenhumbledtoseeGod’shandatworkwiththousandsofchildrenandadultssayingtheyhaveexperiencedhopethroughcounsellingsessionsatWellspring.
“Duringthepastten years,Wellspringhasmovedintoabrand-newhomeinStarbeck;seentheincreaseofcounsellingsessionsfrom60to150perweek;establishednewworkingpartnershipswithschoolsandorganisations;andcreatednewservices,includingaprofessional trainingprogrammeandseeingworkextendtoBradfordandYorkthroughWellspringCounsellingcentres.
