Whiteley-based charity receives £280,000 grant from National Lottery

AutismHampshirehasreceiveda£280,000grantfromTheNationalLotteryCommunityFund. Themoneywillbeusedtosupportthecharity’scommunitygroupsforautisticadultsacrossHampshireandonline. Thegrant,awardedthroughtheReachingCommunitiesprogramme,willhelpfundtheSerendipityCommunityGroupsforthenextfiveyears. Thiswillsecurethefutureof19groupsandallowAutismHampshiretoinvestintheproject’slong-termsustainability. Plansincludeincreasingthenumberoftrainedvolunteersfrom20to50,hiringavolunteercoordinator,andintroducingmoreeveningandweekendsessions.
